Route overview

Bansko is Bulgaria's flagship alpine resort and the single most-requested winter transfer from Sofia Airport. The drive is roughly 160 km south on the Struma motorway (A3), followed by the climb over the Predel pass into the Pirin valley — typically 2 h 15 min in good conditions, a little more on Friday-evening ski-week changeovers.

Most of our Bansko passengers arrive on late-evening ski charters from London, Manchester, Tel Aviv or Tallinn. Your chauffeur tracks the inbound flight, waits with an Arrivo name sign at International Arrivals, and helps load skis, snowboards and boot bags into the minivan at no extra cost. From November to April every vehicle runs on winter tyres and carries snow chains for the Predel pass.

Drop-off is door-to-door — your hotel, a private chalet, an Airbnb on Pirin Street, or directly at the Gondola lower station if you want to start skiing the same afternoon.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the Sofia Airport to Bansko transfer take?

About 2 hours 15 minutes in normal conditions. Friday and Saturday ski-week changeovers can add 20–30 minutes, especially on the Predel pass after fresh snow.

Can you carry skis, snowboards and boot bags?

Yes — equipment travels free in our minivan. Please note the number of ski/snowboard bags in 'Additional requirements' so we set the vehicle up before pickup.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track every inbound flight in real time. Your chauffeur waits in arrivals with an Arrivo sign, and a delay does not change the price you booked.

Do you have winter tyres and snow chains?

All vehicles are on winter tyres from 15 November to 1 April and carry snow chains on board for the Predel pass and resort roads.

Where exactly do you drop off in Bansko?

Anywhere in the resort — hotel reception, private chalet, Airbnb on Pirin Street, or directly at the Gondola lower station. Tell us the address at booking.

Can I book the return transfer at the same time?

Yes. Booking round-trip in a single checkout keeps the same chauffeur and gives you one confirmation covering both legs.
